Débora Falabella signed a contract with Globo to participate in "Avenida Brasil 2" until the end of the soap opera. According to the column, she will be one of the pillars of the continuation and will not just appear in a special cameo, as had been previously considered.
Filming is expected to start in October, but the actors will begin preparations this month. The work is expected to wrap between July and August, with the premiere scheduled for January 25.
In addition to Débora Falabella, the returns of Eliane Giardini (Muricy), Adriana Esteves (Carminha), Marcos Caruso (Leleco) and Letícia Isnard (Ivana) have been confirmed. Among the new cast additions, Drico Alves was cast to play Juninho, and Jéssica Ellen is being considered for the project.
The directing team underwent a change, with Lucas Villamarim leaving the team. Globo also adopted a heavy strategy against leaks on the production's set, which is written by João Emanuel Carneiro.
