Jamiroquai, the British acid jazz group led by eccentric vocalist Jay Kay, is one of the most anticipated acts of this edition of Rock in Rio. The band performs at the Sunset Stage this Friday (11) at 10:45 PM, closing out the space's programming.
This will be Jamiroquai's seventh visit to Brazil. The first took place in 1997 as part of the Free Jazz festival line-up, demonstrating a long-standing relationship between the band and Brazilian fans.
After the performance at Cidade do Rock, the English musicians continue on a Latin American tour. The next shows are scheduled for São Paulo (Allianz Parque, 9/13), Santiago (Claro Arena, 9/15), Buenos Aires (Hipódromo de San Isidro, 9/17), Bogotá (Coliseo Medplus, 9/19), as well as cities in Mexico.
