On Tuesday, a Second Chamber session was canceled following an impasse involving the removal of Federal Police Director-General Andrei Passos Rodrigues. Yesterday, the full session was canceled amid a clash of preliminary rulings.
Today's cancellation was announced after Justice Alexandre de Moraes indicated he would make a public statement, but then postponed the announcement. This afternoon's session would have continued with a ruling that will determine whether real estate companies should pay the Property Transfer Tax when transferring assets and rights to form or increase their own capital.
Among the other processes on the justices' agenda was also one discussing the inclusion of presumed ICMS credits in the PIS and Cofins calculation base.
