Rangel criticized the measures adopted by Spain that he considered to have a "call effect" on migrants, during a questioning by several deputies about the events in the Spanish autonomous city of Ceuta.
At the end of July, more than 70 thousand people entered Ceuta through the border with Morocco, which generated a significant migratory crisis in the region.
Rangel stated having always received "reliable and abundant" information from the Spanish authorities, having also been in frequent contact with Rabat throughout the period in question.
