The 33-year-old winger Hakim Ziyech moved to Botafogo on a free transfer, signing a contract with the Brazilian club until 2028. The Moroccan player leaves Wydad Casablanca, his previous team, to join the club from Rio de Janeiro.
Ziyech brings with him vast international experience, having represented teams such as Twente, Chelsea and Galatasaray before returning to African football. His career also includes a strong connection to the Morocco national team, of which he is a regular international.
The signing represents a significant reinforcement for Botafogo, who secured a top player without any transfer cost. With the contract running until 2028, the club is betting on a player who can contribute significantly to their sporting ambitions.
