The Competition Authority (AdC) approved the acquisition of joint control of Alcotrans -- Freight Forwarding Agents and FJRL -- Transport Logistics by Grupo Sousa Investimentos, SGPS. The decision of no opposition to the concentration operation was announced today.
The regulator considered that the operation "is not likely to create significant obstacles to effective competition in the national market or a substantial part of it". This positive assessment allowed the AdC to give the 'green light' to the transaction without imposing conditions or restrictions.
The companies involved operate in the logistics and transport sector, with Alcotrans functioning as a freight forwarding agent and FJRL specialized in transport logistics. Grupo Sousa Investimentos thus strengthens its position in the sector with this acquisition.
