The Portuguese Government approved an ordinance that establishes an exceptional application period for support under intervention B.3.4 "Restructuring and conversion of vineyards", within the scope of the National Programme for Support to the Wine Sector (PEPAC Portugal). This measure specifically applies to the 2026-2027 campaign.
The decision was made following the significant damages caused by the meteorological events and associated phenomena recorded at the beginning of 2026, which affected numerous winegrowers in several regions of the country.
This exceptional scheme aims to allow wine producers affected by the adverse weather to apply for support for the restructuring and conversion of their vineyards, facilitating the recovery of the wine sector after the damages caused by the adverse weather conditions.
