The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rangel, considered that the situation in the West Bank is "extremely worrying". This position was expressed in the context of a meeting of European foreign ministers.
Twelve states confirmed their intention to introduce national restrictions and support European measures that limit trade in goods from Israeli settlements in the West Bank. This decision comes within the framework of efforts to pressure Israel to change its colonial policy in the region.
The measures aim to make it more difficult to commercialize products from Israeli settlements in the West Bank, a region that has been the scene of growing tensions between Israelis and Palestinians.
