Association of police professionals announces several protests and demands salary valorization commitment starting in 2027

SIC Notícias10 September 2026 at 18:35

The Association of Police Professionals (ASPP) announced the holding of protests in several cities across the country in the coming months. The decision comes after more than two months without any response from the Government to resume negotiations on improvements to police career conditions.

ASPP revealed that it will also proceed with a national demonstration, which will be organized together with associations from the Republican National Guard (GNR), thus reinforcing pressure on government authorities.

The protest follows a prolonged absence of dialogue between the union and the executive, with the association demanding a salary valorization commitment starting in 2027, a measure that professionals consider essential for the valorization of the career.
