Tarcísio praises Fachin's decision and advocates for transparency in the 'Dark Horse' case

The governor of São Paulo and candidate for reelection, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos), praised on Thursday (10) the decision of the president of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Edson Fachin, to suspend the decisions of ministers André Mendonça and Flávio Dino regarding the leadership of the Federal Police.

For the governor, the crisis affecting the STF is interfering with the Court's credibility, and Fachin's decision could halt this instability. Tarcísio stated that Fachin's posture represents a decision to "put the brakes on the situation," bring order and legal certainty.

On Tuesday (08), André Mendonça had ordered the director-general of the Federal Police, Andrei Rodrigues, to step down from his position. In the decision, the minister pointed out irregularities that motivated the measure.

The case is related to operation "Dark Horse," which investigates alleged irregularities in the purchase of chocolates by the Federal Police. The operation generated controversy and conflicting decisions among STF ministers, leading Fachin to intervene to suspend the acts of his colleagues.
