Minister Alexandre de Moraes, from the Supreme Federal Court, authorized the father-in-law of former president Jair Bolsonaro, Vicente de Paulo Reinaldo, and four other relatives to make permanent visits to the residence where Bolsonaro serves his sentence, during the periods when former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro is absent. Michelle is a candidate for the Senate for PL and, therefore, will frequently be away from home campaigning. In addition to Michelle's father, Geovanna Kathleen Ferreira Lima, Maisa Torres Antunes, Renato Antônio Bolsonaro and Suyane Lanuze Ferreira Lima were included in the permanent visit regime.
Moraes determined that the visits follow the same rules applied to the prison facility to which Bolsonaro would be linked if he were not under house arrest. The visitors must also complete prior registration, according to the norms of the Penitentiary Administration Secretariat of the Federal District.
