A delegation from Guinea-Bissau visited the municipality of Guimarães to establish possible forms of collaboration. During the initial meeting, the objectives of the trip were presented and different partnership possibilities were discussed, particularly in matters related to local development and institutional capacity building.
The visit program included visits to various entities in the municipality, including A Oficina/Centro Cultural Vila Flor, UNU-EGOV, Curtir Ciência, and the Association of African Cultures and Peoples of Guimarães. The delegation learned about projects and initiatives developed in the areas of culture, digital governance, science, education, integration, and community participation.
The agenda also included a visit to the company Soguima, with a view to assessing future opportunities for cooperation and business relationships.
On Wednesday, September 9, the mission continued with an agenda dedicated to the economy, territorial valorization, digital transformation, sustainability, and environmental education. The program included contacts with Guimarães Marca, a municipal company, and the Landscape Laboratory.
