Return to the studio or world tour? After all, the Spice Girls' surprise was less predictable

SIC Notícias10 September 2026 at 17:09

The Spice Girls left fans waiting for a possible reunion or a new tour, but the surprise announced this Friday turned out to be something else. The British group revealed the release of "The Singles Collection", a limited edition that brings together the band's 14 singles and various unreleased content.

This collection celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Spice Girls' debut album, marking a significant date in the history of the British girl band. The limited edition includes the group's entire singles repertoire, accompanied by material never before made available to the public.

Fans who were hoping for a return to the stage or a world tour were disappointed, as the group's revealed novelty focuses on the discographic and commemorative component, not on live performances. "The Singles Collection" thus emerges as a way to celebrate the Spice Girls' musical career without indicating any plans for a reunion for concerts.

Review of 'Mother's Baby (La semilla)', a psychological disturbance film

The review analyzes 'Mother's Baby (La semilla)', a psychological disturbance film that doesn't hide its inspiration in Roman Polanski's 'Rosemary's Baby'. The Spanish distribution reinforced this connection by adding 'La semilla' to the title. The film presents the same ambiguity as Polanski's classic: the viewer questions whether what happens to the protagonist is real or if it results from obsessive and delusional post-partum depression, exactly as happened with Mia Farrow's character in Polanski's 1968 film.

The Aqueduct of Vila do Conde secured a place in the national final of the New 7 Wonders of Portugal, in the category of Great Works, after being announced as one of the three finalists during a TVI broadcast from the National Palace of Pena. Built between the 17th and 18th centuries to supply the Convent of Santa Clara, the monument now competes for the title with the Aqueduct of Amoreira, in Elvas, and the Aqueduct of Usseira, in Óbidos, in a decision that depends exclusively on public voting. The grand final takes place on Saturday, September 12, broadcast on TVI, and the Municipal Chamber of Vila do Conde calls for vote mobilization to affirm the historical and cultural value of the aqueduct at the national level.
