The coach of Académico de Viseu, Bruno Pinheiro, expressed the desire to transform the Estádio Municipal do Fontelo into a "fortress" to host Vitória de Guimarães on Saturday, in a match from the sixth round of the I Liga football championship. The coach highlighted that fans have been responding in full force, with sold-out crowds, and that it is essential to earn points at home.
After achieving the first victory of the championship, by 1-0 on Gil Vicente's turf, the team returns to Viseu with more confidence. Bruno Pinheiro revealed that the week's work proceeded with more smiles and that the goal now is to score the first goal and earn the first home points this season.
The coach acknowledged that Vitória de Guimarães is a team with "great offensive mobility" and very large offensive flow, that shoots frequently. However, he stated that he believes Académico's defensive organization will be sufficient to limit those shots, considering that the match against Gil Vicente allowed them to identify situations to improve.
In the standings, Académico de Viseu occupies 10th place with five points, while Vitória de Guimarães is in 11th position with four points. The match is scheduled for Saturday at 8:30 PM, refereed by Carlos Macedo, from the Braga football association.
