The Union of Pre-Hospital Emergency Technicians (STEPH), the Ministry of Health and INEM will meet on Friday to try to reach an agreement that allows the strike scheduled for the 14th and 28th of the current month to be called off.
The meeting comes within the scope of a negotiation process between the three entities, with the objective of resolving the labor conflict that led to the calling of the two days of strike by STEPH.
The union represents pre-hospital emergency technicians, professionals who perform essential functions in the medical emergency system in Portugal. INEM is the body responsible for coordinating and managing medical emergency services in the country.
If an understanding is not reached at the Friday meeting, the strike on the 14th and 28th may proceed, potentially affecting the functioning of pre-hospital emergency services throughout the national territory.
