Madeira's economy grows for 64 months

The Madeiran economy maintains a trajectory of continuous growth for 64 months, with the regional Gross Domestic Product reaching approximately 7.5 billion euros in 2024. The information was presented by the regional secretary of Economy, José Manuel Rodrigues, during the opening session of the IV Food Fair of Madeira.

The event also marks the 30 years of presence of the Continent in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. In his speech, the official presented a set of indicators on the regional economic performance, highlighting the positive evolution of the Madeiran economy over the recent years.

This sustained growth of more than five years reflects the economic dynamism that the Region has been registering, positioning Madeira as one of the Portuguese regions with the best economic performance in the recent period.
