The Spanish Defense Minister, Margarita Robles, defended that the Government "works united" and that "discrepancies should not be sought where there are none" in relation to the CNI (National Intelligence Center) documents about the massive entry of migrants in Ceuta. Robles made these statements during a visit to Toro, in Zamora, where she inspected the works of the new barracks of Monte la Reina.
The minister stated that there are scenarios whose magnitude is "unpredictable," referring to the migration crisis in Ceuta. When questioned about whether CNI protocols should be improved to respond to similar crises, Robles stated that "each one did their job as they should."
Robles also sustained that the Government "complies with its obligation, works and works united," in the same way as the Armed Forces, institutions, police, Civil Guard and the society of Ceuta do. The minister's visit took place in the context of the migration crisis that originated the CNI documents in question.
