National Suicide Prevention Line registers 25 thousand calls in the first year

The National Suicide Prevention Line, through number 1411, registered 25 thousand calls during its first year of operation. This number represents the volume of contacts received by the support line since its implementation.

The data reveals that women were the group that most used this psychological support service. Young people between 18 and 29 years old also constituted a significant portion of the users who contacted the line.

The 1411 line functions as a suicide prevention service, offering emotional and psychological support to people in crisis situations or those who need follow-up. This type of service aims to provide a first response of support to those facing suicidal thoughts or situations of great emotional vulnerability.
