Valor Local Magazine presents eight cultural and leisure suggestions for the weekend in the region, covering the municipalities of Azambuja, Vila Franca de Xira, Alenquer, Arruda dos Vinhos, Sobral de Monte Agraço, Cartaxo, Benavente and Salvaterra de Magos. In Azambuja, singer Fábia Rebordão performs at Artéria – Artes ao Vivo on 11 September, as part of the cultural programme that runs through the municipality's parishes. In Vila Franca de Xira, author Manuela Ralha presents a new book at Galeria Augusto on 23 September, at 6:30 PM, at a free entry session.
Alenquer hosts another edition of Alma do Vinho from 17 to 20 September at the Fair Park, bringing together producers, restaurants, concerts and crafts. In Arruda dos Vinhos, the Centro de Interpretação das Linhas de Torres (Interpretation Centre of the Torres Lines) promotes the "Roda de Oleiro" (Potter's Wheel) activity on 19 and 20 September, inviting the public to discover ancient artisanal techniques.
The Summer Festival and Fair of Sobral de Monte Agraço runs from 11 to 20 September, while Ereira, in Cartaxo, celebrates on 11 and 12 with music and popular tradition. The Fair of Benavente continues until 13 September in the Riverside Zone, and Marinhais, in Salvaterra de Magos, prepares the festivities in honour of São Miguel Arcanjo, keeping community traditions alive in several municipalities of the region.
