The Estoril Conferences will take place in Portugal from October 29 to 30, organized by Nova SBE and Nova Medical School, with the support of the Cascais municipal council.
Yulia Navalnaya, widow of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, is one of the main speakers at the event. Her husband died in February 2024 in a Russian prison, after being imprisoned for exposing corruption in the Kremlin and for challenging President Vladimir Putin.
Shirin Ebadi, Nobel Peace Prize laureate in 2003 and Iranian human rights lawyer, will also be present at the conference. Ebadi is known for her work defending women, children, and refugees in Iran.
Former Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta completes the group of prominent speakers at the event. The conference is expected to bring together various international figures to discuss topics related to politics, society, and economics.
