The evaluation of PRODERAM 2020, concerning execution until the end of 2018, identified several weaknesses in the programme's execution and still very limited results in structural objectives. However, the evaluation did not conclude that the programme had failed in all areas.
The main failures identified were related to fundamental structural objectives, namely generational renewal, innovation and production organization.
The programme demonstrated significant difficulties in creating new opportunities and in modernizing the regional agricultural sector, areas that were considered priorities for rural development in the region.
These gaps raise concerns about the capacity of PRODERAM 2020 to meet its sustainable development objectives in the agricultural sector.
