Carlos Coelho was reconfirmed as president of JSD Funchal, with the new bodies of the county structure of the young social democrats taking office yesterday at the PSD Madeira headquarters. The ceremony marked the continuity of Coelho's leadership at the head of the youth organization.

The solemn session was attended by Bruno Melim, president of JSD Madeira, and Jorge Carvalho, president of the Funchal City Council and leader of the PSD Funchal county structure, who attended the inauguration of the new bodies.

Bruno Melim took the opportunity to direct harsh criticism at the Socialist mandates in the city of Funchal, classifying the PS as "reduced and disappeared" in the region.

The event reinforced Carlos Coelho's position as a central figure in the youth organization of the PSD in Funchal, at a time when the structure demonstrates confidence in his continuity.
