Volta System collected 305 million packages in the first five months

The Volta System collected over 305 million single-use beverage bottles and cans in the first five months of the year. The system is responsible for the reverse logistics of these packages, meaning the collection and proper disposal after consumption.

The initiative is part of an effort to increase the recycling rate in Brazil and reduce the environmental impact caused by disposable packaging. The program encourages consumers to return the containers at specific collection points.

The Volta System operates in partnership with beverage industry companies and recycler cooperatives in several regions of the country. The goal is to continuously expand the volume of packages collected over the coming months.
