Futsal: Portugal participates in Finalissima 2026

UEFA and CONMEBOL announced the holding of the second edition of the Intercontinental Futsal Finalissima. The event will take place at Arena Niterói, in Rio de Janeiro, between November 6-8.

Portugal, current defending champions of the competition after winning in 2022, will be present to defend their title. The Portuguese national team joins three other powerhouses of world futsal.

The other three participating teams are Spain, Argentina and Brazil. Brazil, as the host country, will host this second edition of the intercontinental tournament.

Municipality of Angra promotes training for sports agents

The Municipality of Angra do Heroísmo will promote, on September 26 and 27, three training actions for coaches, managers and sports technicians, at the Centro Cultural e de Congressos. The training, accredited by the Federação do Desporto de Portugal, covers the areas of "Team Leadership", "Marketing Strategy for Sports Clubs" and "Sports Organization Management", and is part of the programming of European Week of Sport. Vice-president Guido Teles highlighted that investing in the training of sports agents is essential to strengthen clubs and the local associative movement.
