The Azores Agricultural Federation (FAA) advocated that the extraordinary support of 10 cents per liter on agricultural diesel, extended by the Republic's Government until the end of 2026, should also be applied to Azorean farmers.
The first announcement of the extension of this subsidy was made by the prime minister on Wednesday, extending the measure to be in force until the end of next year.
The FAA argues that Azorean farmers should benefit from the same agricultural diesel support conditions that are granted to mainland Portuguese producers.
The federation therefore aims to guarantee equity in access to this energy benefit for the agricultural sector of the autonomous region.
