Diego Hernán Dirísio, known as "Master of Weapons," was extradited on Wednesday (9) from Argentina to Brazil. Argentine, he is identified by the Federal Police as the biggest arms trafficker in South America. Arrested by Interpol in 2024, Dirísio will now be brought to Brazilian justice to answer the charges.

He is accused of commanding a criminal network that allegedly moved approximately R$ 1.2 billion and illegally introduced into Brazil approximately 43 thousand rifles and pistols, all destined for Brazilian criminal factions.

The operation that led to Dirísio's arrest is part of the "Dakovo" investigation, launched by the Federal Police in December 2023. The Argentine was the main target of the action, but managed to escape from authorities at the time and went on to join Interpol's Red Diffusion list, which brings together the most wanted fugitives internationally.
