Exhibition at CCBB Rio brings award-winning unseen films from Central America

oglobo10 September 2026 at 13:00

The CCBB Rio de Janeiro will hold, starting on the 23rd, a film exhibition that will bring to Brazil 21 films from six Central American countries. The event, called Soy Loco por Ti, Centroamérica, represents a rare opportunity to present to the Brazilian public a collection of films that have won awards at various international festivals.

Most of the selected titles will be shown for the first time in Brazil. This is one of the highlights of the exhibition, considering that this Central American cinema remains practically unknown to the Brazilian public, despite its recognition in the international circuit.

The programming promises to reveal to the Brazilian viewer works that have won awards at major festivals around the world, offering a differentiated window into the cinematographic production of a region little explored on national screens.
