Minister of Health Ana Paula Martins has taken the lead in negotiations between the conflicting parties at the National Institute of Medical Emergencies. The goal is to find a solution that avoids the paralysis of emergency medical services.
On Friday morning, Ana Paula Martins will meet again with the president of INEM and with Emergency Medical technicians. This will be another attempt to reach an agreement and stop the strike that is scheduled.
The stoppage is set for the 18th and 28th, which could cause significant disruptions to emergency medical services in Portugal. Previous negotiations have not resulted in an understanding between the parties.
