The start of the new school year in Castellón was marked by the opening of some educational centers, but the Compromís party denounced that there are infrastructures blocked by the regional government (Consell), representing a pending investment of 39.2 million euros during the current legislative term.
The Valencianist coalition revealed that at least three educational projects remain stagnant: the construction of the IES in Borriol, the nursery school in Betxí, and the improvement of facilities at IES Ramón Cid in Benicarló. These works are pending approval and funding from the regional government.
Given this situation, Compromís stated that it does not rule out going to court to unblock the projects. The decision to pursue legal action aims to pressure the regional government to fulfill its commitments to the province of Castellón.
The party argues that the delay in these educational works represents significant harm to the school community in the region, which needs these infrastructures to ensure quality education for students in the province.
