The Portuguese Government created an exceptional period for vineyard conversion applications, aimed at supporting wine growers affected by bad weather. This support comes in response to the damage caused by the bad weather that hit several wine-producing regions of the country.
The available support has a budget of five million euros, an amount that will be distributed among wine growers who meet the established requirements to access this emergency financing line.
Wine growers who can apply for this support are those who were directly affected by the bad weather that occurred between January 28 and February 15. This period coincided with adverse weather conditions that caused significant damage to vineyards in various areas of the country.
The measure aims to allow the recovery and reconversion of wine-growing farms that suffered losses due to the unfavorable weather conditions recorded during that specific period at the beginning of the year.
