The Public Prosecutor's Office filed charges against a 38-year-old man for the crimes of qualified theft and unauthorized access to a credit card or guarantee. The suspect was brought before a judicial first hearing, and the investigating judge ordered the application of the precautionary measure of preventive detention.
The man is suspected of having committed 11 qualified thefts at schools in the municipality of Almada. In addition to these crimes, he is also suspected of one crime related to the unauthorized use of a credit card or guarantee.
The investigation conducted by the Judicial Police had been ongoing for about two months. The authorities managed to identify the suspect as responsible for the crimes that occurred in educational establishments in the Almada area.
