Apple announces brand's first foldable. iPhone Duo arrives in October

Apple presented the iPhone Duo, the company's first foldable iPhone, during an event broadcast from the company's headquarters in Cupertino, California. The device represents one of the biggest design changes in smartphone history since the launch of the first iPhone in 2007.

This was Apple's first major product launch led by John Ternus, who took over as CEO on September 1, succeeding Tim Cook in command of the company.

The iPhone Duo combines a foldable format with a large 7.6-inch interior display and a 5.4-inch exterior display. When open, the device is the thinnest iPhone ever produced by Apple.

The launch is scheduled for October, marking Apple's entry into the foldable smartphone market, competing directly with manufacturers who have been offering devices with this technology for several years.
