LG denies accusations that brand's TVs record other people's conversations

LG came forward to publicly deny the accusations that its televisions record users' conversations. The South Korean company reacted after a YouTube channel developed an investigation with the aim of proving that the brand's devices collect other people's conversations.

The YouTube channel responsible for the investigation claims to have found evidence that LG televisions capture audio from conversations near the devices, even when the voice recognition function is not active.

LG categorically rejected the accusations, stating that its devices only record audio when users intentionally activate voice commands or specific features that require sound capture.

The company also emphasized that it complies with privacy regulations in all markets where it operates and that the data collected is used exclusively to improve the user experience and functionality of its products.
