ADN Madeira advocates that a public evaluation should be carried out on compliance with animal protection and welfare legislation in all 11 municipalities of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
The organization demands that this evaluation include detailed information about municipal veterinary coverage, available official animal collection solutions, existing enforcement mechanisms, and the human and material resources dedicated to this area.
The party also wants the evaluation to address cooperation between the local authorities and the zootechnical associations working in the field on animal protection.
This demand arises in the context of a broader debate about animal protection conditions in the region and the need to ensure that legislation on this matter is being effectively enforced by all municipal councils.
