The National Suicide Prevention Hotline received approximately 25,600 calls during its first year of operation. The information was shared by the service's clinical coordinator with the Ecclesia Agency.
Of the calls received, nearly 700 corresponded to situations of imminent suicide risk, representing a small fraction of the total contacts registered by the service during this initial period of activity.
The psychological support and suicide prevention service aims to provide assistance to people in crisis situations, offering a listening line and follow-up support for those seeking help.
