Collision on IC1 near Ourique causes serious injury and "cuts" road to traffic

A collision between a heavy goods vehicle and a light goods vehicle occurred this Thursday, the 10th, on the IC1, between Ourique and Aldeia de Palheiros, at kilometre 672.4 of the road. The accident happened around 6am in the morning.

The accident caused one serious injury and one minor injury. Both injured parties were taken to Hospital José Joaquim Fernandes in Beja.

Traffic on the road is interrupted in both directions due to the accident, according to a Civil Protection source cited by the Portuguese News Agency.
