A 30-year-old woman identified as Marisa Calliea was arrested this Monday (7th) in southwestern Wyoming, United States, after fleeing from police at high speed while transporting her 6-year-old son, Liam Malburg, who had been missing for about a week. Authorities reported that she traveled with the child from the state of Michigan to Wyoming without having legal custody of the boy.
According to authorities, Calliea was supposed to return the child to his father, Justin Malburg, last Thursday, but failed to comply with the order. The whereabouts of mother and son were discovered after an anonymous tip reported that Liam had been seen at a Walmart store in the area.
Officer Nikoli Knezovich located the GMC Terrain vehicle used by the woman and waited approximately 30 minutes until the two came out of the car. During the stop, according to a probable cause affidavit cited by the Cowboy State Daily, Calliea reportedly provided false names to authorities.
