The CIM of the Setúbal Peninsula is organizing the cycle "Meetings with the Region," which promotes debate about the future of the region through five thematic sessions held between September 21 and 25. The objective is to deepen the participation process in the construction of the Strategic Plan of the Setúbal Peninsula 2028-2034, through consultation with citizens, institutions, companies, associations and other agents linked to the territory.
In Setúbal, on September 23 at 2:30 PM, at Cinema Charlot – Auditório Municipal, a session dedicated to the theme "Environment, Agriculture, Fisheries and Territorial Resilience" will be held. This is the third session of the cycle, which began on September 21 in Barreiro, with the discussion on "Health, Housing, Demographics and Social Cohesion."
The program continues on September 22 in Sesimbra with "Tourism, Culture, Sports, Identity and Territorial Attractiveness," followed by Almada on September 24 to address "Economy, Employment, Innovation and Qualification." The final meeting takes place on September 25 in Seixal, dedicated to "Mobility, Infrastructure, Planning and Connectivity." All sessions begin at 2:30 PM.
The meetings continue the reflection process initiated with the Setúbal Peninsula Forum, held in June. The contributions collected throughout the sessions will join the consultation work already carried out and will be considered in the diagnosis and strategic reflection for defining the future priority axes, objectives and lines of action of the Strategic Plan of the Setúbal Peninsula 2028-2034.
