The advancement of the crisis at the Supreme Federal Court has been viewed with optimism by Flavio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), who managed to transform the clash between ministers into one of the main axes of his presidential campaign. With this, the candidate seeks to shift part of the attention away from investigations into the Master case, which involve his name.
Behind the scenes, however, the candidate's allies are adopting a more cautious stance. People close to him are following the emergence of new elements related to the Master bank and have begun advising Flavio to moderate his discourse about the Court.
The alert regarding the tone gained strength after the candidate's schedule on Wednesday in Juiz de Fora (MG). On that occasion, Flavio Bolsonaro accused President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) of trying to win the election "on a technicality" and said the government would be instrumentalizing the Federal Police to persecute adversaries.
The candidate also directly attacked Minister Flavio Dino, of the STF, for having determined the return of Andrei Rodrigues to the leadership of the corporation. The former lawyer for the Lula government, now a member of the court, signed a decision that reignited the candidate's criticisms of the Court.
