The President of Argentina, Javier Milei, announced on Wednesday the filing of new criminal complaints against companies involved in hydrocarbon exploration on the country's continental shelf. This decision comes within the framework of an ongoing process.

The new complaints expand existing proceedings and also give rise to completely new criminal procedures against the implicated companies. The announcement represents an intensification of the Argentine government's stance regarding these exploration activities.
