The president of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Edson Fachin, scheduled an extraordinary session for next Tuesday at 10am to analyze the process involving messages sent by Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master, to Minister Alexandre de Moraes. In the messages, there are indications that the banker was being guided by the magistrate on the eve of his arrest.
The case is unprecedented because it will be the first time the STF decides whether a minister of the Court itself will be investigated. Minister André Mendonça is the rapporteur of the process and requested a report from the Federal Police on the case.
The plenary meeting still lacks a defined agenda. Allies of Alexandre de Moraes and André Mendonça seek to impose themselves in the heated environment at the Court.
According to the assessment of ministers heard by the press, the beginning of the session should be marked by discussions on the validity of the report requested by André Mendonça from the Federal Police. Interlocutors do not rule out that the debate may be suspended.
