Flávia Alessandra calls attention to hair loss; understand what changes in hair during menopause

oglobo10 September 2026 at 08:00

Flávia Alessandra, 52 years old, shared with her followers on social media some of the transformations she noticed during menopause. The actress mentioned having noticed "some hair loss," in addition to skin changes. On other occasions, she had already spoken about insomnia, fatigue, and joint pain, symptoms she initially did not relate to the hormonal transition.

Women over 40 have been using social media to call attention to changes that may arise during the hormonal transition, including hair loss and loss of hair volume. Traditionally, hot flashes tend to take center stage when talking about menopause symptoms, but other less discussed changes also affect many women at this stage.

Flávia Alessandra's experience helps bring to the conversation a less remembered issue when it comes to menopause: hair changes. During this transition, hormonal changes affect not only the skin but also the hair, causing loss and alterations in the texture and volume of the strands.
