Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP) inaugurated on Wednesday, the 9th, a new section of the A26 between the Relvas Verdes and Roncão interchanges on the IP8, creating a new link between Sines and the South Motorway (A2).
The investment in this infrastructure amounted to nearly 45 million euros, representing a significant value for improving accessibility in the Alentejo Litoral region.
This new connection will directly benefit the municipalities of Sines and Santiago do Cacém, facilitating access to the A2 and, consequently, to the rest of the national road network.
The project comes in the context of strengthening transport infrastructure in the south of the country, seeking to boost connectivity in an area that includes the port of Sines, one of the most important in the country.
