The state president of PL in Bahia, João Roma, Senate candidate, is being accused by party members of "hiding" Flavio Bolsonaro during the campaign in the state. Roma, who is on the ticket of gubernatorial candidate ACM Neto (União), was ignored by the presidential candidate in a list of nominations for the Senate race.
ACM Neto is seeking to distance himself from the son of former President Jair Bolsonaro. The stance of the state president of PL in keeping distant from the Bolsonaro image has displeased candidates for the State Assembly and the Chamber of Deputies, who complain about the lack of funds and material to promote Flavio.
The start of the campaign presented to Bahia voters a version of Roma far from the Bolsonaro image, as shown by GLOBO this month. Until Wednesday night, Flavio's official campaign website only showed the candidate he nominated for Senate, without including Roma.
