The Federal Justice of the Federal District authorized Caixa Econômica Federal to search for vehicles and financial assets in the name of the expelled federal deputy Carla Zambelli. The measure was taken even before the parliamentarian was cited in a collection lawsuit filed by the bank.

The collection lawsuit was filed by Caixa Econômica Federal against Carla Zambelli. The bank seeks to collect a debt from the expelled parliamentarian, and therefore requested that the Justice system conduct searches to identify assets that could guarantee payment.

The judicial authorization allows Caixa to search systems containing information about vehicles and other financial assets in Zambelli's name. The objective is to locate assets that may be blocked to guarantee the execution of the debt.

STF decides next week whether to investigate Minister Moraes over messages with Vorcaro

The Supreme Federal Court scheduled an extraordinary session for Tuesday (15) to decide whether to open an investigation against Minister Alexandre de Moraes due to messages exchanged with banker Daniel Vorcaro. The Court president took several measures to contain the internal crisis, including removing Moraes from the fake news inquiry rapporteurship, blocking opposing decisions by Ministers André Mendonça and Flávio Dino, and maintaining Andrei Rodrigues as head of the Federal Police. The court will analyze the validity of the PF report and the Attorney General's office statement, which considered the document null. With Barroso's retirement still without a replacement, the STF operates with ten ministers, and legal scholars recommend that the magistrates directly involved abstain from the judgment.
