The US President, Donald Trump, asked on Wednesday the voters waiting for him at a convention in Dallas to let him "finish the job" and vote for Republican candidates in the November midterm elections. In a nearly two-hour speech, Trump asked voters to "pretend" it is his name that will be on the ballot.

The US President warned supporters that if they do not vote for Republicans in the November elections, they will return "to hell." The message was delivered to a euphoric crowd present at the convention in Dallas.

In the November midterm elections, Republican candidates risk losing the majority in Congress. Trump has made these elections a test of his popularity and the power he still holds within the Republican Party.
