The Life at Home Report, a study on life at home conducted by the company IKEA, reveals that Portuguese people feel more comfort and a sense of control at home than the global average. This study compares the experience of Portuguese people with that of other participating countries.

According to the study, in Portugal the home is considered a space primarily dedicated to being tidy, eating home-cooked food, and living personal achievements. In other words, the house represents for Portuguese people a place of fulfillment and well-being.

The report compares behaviors and perceptions of citizens from various countries regarding their homes, allowing for the identification of cultural differences in how each society values its domestic space.
