The Single Pension Fund of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Rioprevidência) will begin offering the Digital Life Proof starting in October, allowing retirees and pensioners to complete the mandatory annual procedure through the Gov.br platform without needing to leave home.
The initiative aims to benefit the 110,446 retirees and 56,561 pensioners of the State of Rio de Janeiro. Military personnel will not yet be included in the system. The first to use the feature will be approximately 13,000 beneficiaries whose birthdays are in October, with a deadline to complete it between October 5 and November 2.
The summons will follow the birthday month of each insured person, with inactive civil servants and pensioners being called during the months corresponding to their birth dates. Previously, the procedure had to be done in person at a bank branch.
Now, the life proof can be completed through facial recognition using the insured person's own smartphone camera. For biometric validation and completion of the process, beneficiaries must meet certain requirements on the Gov.br platform.
