Coimbra: Eiras accelerates in a new cycle of investments

Campeão das Províncias9 September 2026 at 21:00

Half a century after the first industrial wave, the axis of Pedrulha, Estrada de Eiras and Rua Adriano Lucas in Coimbra now concentrates factories, commerce, training and housing. This area is benefiting from a new cycle of investments that are revitalising the zone.

The investments announced by SRAMPORT and Bluepharma total around 101 million euros. These two companies are among the main driving forces behind this new phase of development in the Eiras area.

In the area in question, companies, access routes, services and equipment have consolidated over time. This is a territory that already has some infrastructure and is now receiving a new economic boost.

This new cycle of investments represents a continuation of the industrial development that began approximately 50 years ago in this area of Coimbra, transforming it into a diversified economic hub that combines industrial activity, commerce, training and housing.
