Apple launched on Wednesday (9) the new iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone Duo models, and with that discontinued the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max and some iPhone 16 configurations. The models are no longer sold in the company's official store, remaining on the market only while supplies last at retail.
Being discontinued from the tech giant's official channels, however, does not mean immediate retirement of the devices. The iPhone 17 Pro, released last year, and the iPhone 16 continue with iOS 27 support, Apple's new operating system.
iOS 27 includes advanced artificial intelligence features, such as the new version of Siri called Siri AI and the Apple Intelligence platform. Apple typically offers seven years of support for its phones, which means the iPhone 17 Pro still has at least six more years of support on the market.
